Clotheshow Live and National Lottery operator Camelot
join forces to launch the

Student Designer of the Year Competition 2004

Entry form and brief

1. INTRODUCTION

Clotheshow Live is back for 2004 with a complete re-invention of the world’s largest fashion event. This December will see a well known fashion figure head up the show, alongside a whole host of experts from the worlds of fashion, beauty and style. They will be on site at various points throughout the duration of the event to create up to the minute looks and provide advice on the latest fashion and beauty trends.

To reinforce the event’s dedication to fashion and style, and to support young fashion talent, Clotheshow Live, together with Camelot - who are celebrating the 10th Birthday of The National Lottery - is launching the 2004 Student Designer of the Year Competition. This initiative aims to seek out and support the most promising, fledgling fashion talent, giving the opportunity for one individual to win the award.

The National Lottery is all about making dreams come true – in the 10 years since its launch, over 1660 millionaires have been created and over £16 billion has been raised for Good Causes transforming 173,000 projects across the UK.

The brief
To celebrate the 10th birthday of The National Lottery, the entry theme of the competition is centered around luck and magic. You need to design a celebratory outfit inspired by the luck and magic of the National Lottery.

Plus, with purple being the colour of luck, one element of your design must incorporate this colour, e.g. bag, shoes, pattern, pocket etc.

2. THE PRIZE
