E.ON Ruhrgas AG focus' on the purchase and sale of natural gas. E.ON Ruhrgas AG concludes long-term agreements with producers in Germany or abroad and supplies its customers - gas merchant companies, distributors and industrial consumers - with gas in keeping with their needs.
GURUS was commissioned to create a localised websites for the company and an oil trading platform.
Energy Transaction Platform
The second phase of the project has seen the development of a secure transaction environment (Partner Portal) for E.ON's commercial customers, mainly energy companies, industrials and small and medium sized businesses. The ‘Partner Portal’ offers a range of risk management products for the commercial gas sector, geared at providing the efficient management of energy related risks. For customers, attaining real-time indicative pricing is now a reality, with an option to make gas purchase decisions, only a click away. The project was hugely successful.
Working Smarter
The administrative tools, supporting the Partner Portal, offer the E.ON. trading team an efficient and highly accountable method of managing the influx of interest in the product offerings and the placement of orders.
Online interest is effectively alerted and assigned to the trading team for immediate follow up and deal closure. 'Permissioning' allows the team to enable users access to the Partner Portal for the purpose of trialling or promoting the functionality.
Content Management
E.ON. sought a superior content management solution that would enable its team to be able to edit and manage the content delivery onto the websites easily and with an advanced level of functionality. GURUS empowered the project with its proprietary, advanced content management application, with features including; WYSIWYG text and image editor, workflow process, version history and file security.
