Game Stars Live was the video gaming event of 2004, with Games like with games like Halo 2, Pro Evo 4, Splinter Cell 3 and Legend of Zelda.
GURUS were commissioned to develop the 'creatives' for the event and the promotional web site based on the ITV Game Stars programme, TV’s biggest games brand. Broadcast across the ITV network, Game Stars is the first ever TV show to celebrate gaming as great entertainment.
In keeping with the Game Stars ethos, Game Stars Live was to be a vibrant, adrenaline-pumping interactive entertainment experience, designed to excite, delight, amaze, inspire and enthral. It was the most ambitious consumer gaming event ever devised, allowing the gaming public to get interactive with the top titles for Christmas 2004 wares alongside other lifestyle brands, music, sport and high-profile entertainment acts.
GURUS provided a campaign targeted towards a youth audience, which captured the feel of the ITV show and translated it into a live event. The web site was engaging and the point of sale materials had a high visual impact.
