Long standing client Photobox has used GURUS in a supporting role for various projects, as it has grown and built it's own in-house team.

Photobox Web Site
The current photobox website was designed by the team at GURUS. We worked extensively with Photobox's development team to deliver a site that was easy to navigate and allowed users to manage their accounts. Gurus paid particular attention to prioritising the content in the site so that the most requested information was always available.

29th June 2006 - Site of the week by New Media Age - PhotoBox was awarded Site of the Week in the Site Inspection review page in the latest edition of New Media Age, confirming their position as the UK’s leading online destination for photo sharing, storing and printing. Receiving an impressive 91 points out of 100, PhotoBox was praised for its comprehensive, user friendly website.

Revolution Awards Best Online Retailer 2005 - The site was credited as easy to use and appealing.

Photobox Co-Location Facility
GURUS created and operated Photobox's first hosting facility. Photobox still retains this facility, all though it now has several other facilities for load balancing and fail over.

Photobox Photobooks Application
GURUS were commissioned to build the companies first online flash application, that could design and produce a complete Photobook. The team worked closely with Photobox's development team to create an API that used XML to pass information to Photobox's production facility. This application was developed before the advent of Adobe's Flex product and was done entirely in Flash and XML. The result was an engaging online experience. This application has gone on to form the foundation of Photobox's current suite of photo product designers.
