With the upcoming '2001 UK Elections', Reuters sought to create a dynamic and interactive micro-site that could easily be integrated and carried by some of the world's biggest internet brands.

Solution
A micro-site was developed, in association with the Reuters editorial team, encompassing interactive Flash and HTML to deliver real-time, rich media content.

Reuters' election feed, delivered via XML, was integrated within defined parameters to provide a dynamic content environment on the micro-site.

Management Console
Reuters media sales team were provided with a web-based administrative console enabling the team to activate client subscriptions for the election coverage.

The consoles functionality included the ability to create unique 'permissions' enabling client users to log into a secure area and access relevant codes to embed the election micro-site into their websites.

Various options were provided to clients, enabling high flexibility on the presentation of content, e.g. using I-frames, pop-windows, etc. The result was a quick, hassle free, client activation to integration cycle.

Hosting Solution
An Enterprise server solution was specifically developed to house the micro-site and bear the full, simultaneous traffic load from some of the world's largest internet brands.
The hosting solution was securely maintained on GURUS' rack space within the London based, Exodus Internet Data Centre.
